The Need
A Transportation Brokerage had a vision of using the web to stay connected with their clients and carriers. Since their carriers are third party companies, they needed a single point of reference for all parties involved. Placing this system on the web helped free themselves from working at the office.

How it Works
There are three login types for this system. Clients, third party Carriers and the Administrator.

The clients who need things shipped can login securely and:
  • Request quotes and recieve quote responses
  • Request pick-ups
  • Track their shipments
  • View their shipment history
The third party carriers who ship items, can securely login and:
  • View available shipment requests to bid upon
  • Check assignments, destinations and deadlines
  • Post equipment, destination and date availability
Once logged in, the Administrator can:
  • Manage the website
  • Setup and manage clients and carriers
  • Manage shipments, loads and equipment
  • View activity reports
Web Based Advantage
The system was custom built, and integrated into the website. Not only does this drive traffic to their website to show upcoming specials and up-sell new features, but it also unchains them from their desk in the office. They can manage their shipping business from anywhere in the world, with just a computer and internet access.
