Generating Leads for Your Business

It is the biggest struggle any business owner has to deal with. How do I bring in more leads for my business? A business can live off of referrals and word of mouth for a while, but for most businesses, without leads generation, it will eventually die. A small business owner’s dream is to turn on the faucet of leads generation during the slow times. If this describes you, then try this exercise.

Sit down with a pencil and a pad of paper, and start writing.
Write down any possible way you would market, what words you would use, who you would be targeting. A good way to start is to do this every morning for 15 minutes for a week. Do not let any worries about the how to’s of any of this. After the first day, you will go from feeling out of options, to regenerated and your eyes will be opened to the countless opportunities that are our there to bring in business.

Research your options
The internet and book stores are great ways to research some ideas as well in terms of leads generation. this in turn will get more ideas flowing. You should now have more ideas than you could even attempt to implement for quite a while.

Organize your thoughts
With all of your notes that you have taken, start organizing them into the sales copy you will be using, the way you will pitch it, and where you will be marketing for the leads to start flowing in.

Apply, apply, apply!
All the ideas in the world will not generate a single lead for you unless you start applying them. Keep trying, and record the results. Depending upon how well you have tracked your results from each form of marketing, you will be able to hone in on only what is bringing you the most leads - and most importantly - what leads are converting the most into sales.
