After the Storm
 The landscape has changed considerably in recently days; especially for those of us in the South Texas region. While we were fortunate enough to have the power turned back on shortly and only face minimal damage, we are not the rule but rather the exception. (click here for Ike pictures).
Lives have been lost, houses have been swept away and as I write this - millions are still without power. The electricity company anticipates services to be restored about 4 weeks after.
Through it all, stories of heroism and kind-heartedness have shown through. I have heard so many heart warming stories in the past week, it makes me proud to be an American.
On a broader spectrum, the economy has been like a roller coaster this week, causing much emotional and financial dis-array. Fear not! Things will get better, but in the meantime, it is up to us to make the best use of our time. Due to this, I have been prompted to write an article about helping you to take steps toward recession proofing your business.
